"Messiah is about the love of Humanity. Messiah is an adaption of the miracles of Jesus and how many people who were deemed ''unworthy'' by societal standards were loved and accepted by his grace. I've been on a long spiritual journey of love and self acceptance and it was a journey to find the right way to present this song. I wanna thank my collaborator, Cee EIAssaad for inspiring me with this awesome production and for going on this journey with me. I know religion is not an easy subject, and I also know he has had (as many of us have) a bad experience with it in the past. I hope this track can bring out some of the good things, and also lay a foundation for more great music in the future." -Brandon Markell Holmes
I walked the sea, made strong the weak
Turned water into wine, made the blind man see
I washed the lepers, the liars and the thieves
I healed the sick on great Galilee
With fish and bread, five thousand I fed
I cast out demons, raised Lazarus from the dead
I rose on the third day, with thorns in my head
I calmed the storm with my bare hands
With nails in my side on the cross I bled
They checked inside the tomb but they found no one there
I roamed the desert, forty days, forty nights
I am the son, way the truth and the light
Messiah, I have forsaken you now
This world is breaking me down
I’m a sinner falling to the ground
What am I supposed to do now?
Messiah, what else should I do?
Gained the world and lost the truth
I’m a sinner, lost and confused
Who am I? Got nothing to lose
Heavenly father, I come to you in prayer
Asking for the forgiveness of my sins
I believe in my heart, and confess with my mouth
That Jesus is Your son
Though I walk through the valley and the shadow of death
I fear no man who can take my breath
For he is my rod, my staff, and help
I’ll praise him with song in every breath
I’ll praise him with the trumpet, the harp, and lyre
I’ll praise him from my soul is my hearts desire
I’ll praise him in the sanctuary
I’ll praise him to give him the glory
Messiah, I have forsaken you now
This world is breaking me down
I’m a sinner falling to the ground
What am I supposed to do now?
Messiah, what else should I do?
Gained the world and lost the truth
I’m a sinner, lost and confused
Who am I? Got nothing to lose
